This "Soft soul" Group dominated the seventies with such hits as "You make me feel brand new", Betcha by Golly Wow","I Cant give you anything but my Love(Their only Number One!), "Peek a boo","Break up to make up", etc, etc.
They consisted of two Lead singers Russell Thompkins Junior, and Aaron Love, who both had pleasent tenor voices. As the seventies turned into the Eighties the hits started to dry up and The Stylistics found that they made the vast amount of their money on the cabaret circuit.
A change of record label in the early nineties to the "Philadephia" label failed to bring any change in fortune and by the end of the Nineties Love, and Burrell(Bass Singer) were the only survivors from the original lineup.
They continue to this day with a Thompkins soundalike and do a good show. This cd is the only one Stylistics cd most people will need because their albums as album were filled with "Covers", and lots of "Filler" and had no real identity of their own.
