The Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation (1968 studio recording)

If you like Peter Green era Fleetwood Mac or at least think it was respectable, you might want to give this a try. The structure is similar, but the dryness is somewhat lubricated with the piano sharing the leads. Aynsley is a drummer so expect more and longer percussion. It’s not a draw back until the last song which ends with about a 5 minute drum solo. I like to think of it as the signal to look for my next selection. A couple different types of guitars share leads with an organ on “Memory Pain” with the end result being the signature British Blues song

Doctor Dunbar's Prescription (1969 studio recording)

One fine record, man oh man! AD serves up some really very tastey blues here that are slower and lower in chord and key then one could imagine. There's a unbeatable Hammond B organ that just flows like the tide across your brain. The vocals are what's important and they are nicely flanked with quiet understated guitar work. This one you can not avoid, when you drop the needle on these grooves they will own you for all time.
