2006 digitally remastered edition featuring all 18 tracks Boyd recorded for the Blue Horizon label, including 2 previously unreleased tracks: "The Stroller" and "No Place Like Home", both of which were recorded and produced prior to to his tenure at the label . Includes a special booklet with photos and extensive liner notes by Mike Vernon, founder of Blue Horizon.
The first two songs were cut as a single on 3/21/67 which includes the trio of John Mayall's Blues Breakers MINUS John Mayall. On this day Peter Green and John McVie were there. The drummer was Aynsley Dunbar of course. The album appears next, "7936 South Rhoads" which was previously released on a BGO UK CD minus bonus tracks but with the original album cover. The second single "The Big Boat b/w Sent For You Yesterday" was cut on the same ONE DAY SESSION as the album was (1/25/68). The album and the second single have Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac backing Eddie. The final two songs were recorded sometime in 1960 and when Eddie Boyd came to these Blue Horizon sessions, he handed Mike Vernon an acetate dub of these two titles to do with what he wishes to. For those of you out there who are avid fans of such exciting American blues piano players at the time they each visited Europe and recorded their respective recording sessions with (in this case) Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac in the prime of their life, don't miss this one! You will not be disappointed. The cover photo was taken from 1966 in Paris. Many other nice photos too. Very interesting reading and the record cooks!
