Six programmes broadcast by BBC2 in 1988 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the end of steam haulage on British Railways.

Episode 1 - The Settle and Carlisle

Episode 3 - The holidays made possible by the London and South Western Railway.
Episode 4 - The variety of historic railways and tramways on the Isle of Man.
Episode 5 - The part played by the railways in British industrial history.
Episode 6 - The locomotives, rolling stock and railway lines which survived into preservation.
The final film made by Geoffrey Jones for British Transport Films (following Snow, 1963 and Rail, 1967) was commissioned to mark the 150th anniversary of the introduction of the Stockton to Darlington Railway, the birth of one of thegreatest transport revolutions in human history. The same year, BTF's Rail 150 (d. Ronald Craigen) recorded a celebratory steam cavalcade.
