Before I got mixed up in the world of torrents I had been busy writing subtitles for all of the favorite movies my wife and I had been enjoying for years. As her hearing declined, along with the language barrier, it become common for her to fall asleep when she no longer could follow the story of our old favorites.
I thought about trying my hand at creating subtitless for those few movies. I thought for several years before jumping in. For a year or so I sweated through 25 or so of them. They served my purpose. I would then upload the subtitles which I had created to the divx subtitle website.
Things went fine. Then I came across Mininova and Pirate Bay. I thought it would be better for the vieweer to have the movie itself that goes with whatever subtitle file I had written rather than have to go about fitting them to their own copy of the movie.
Things have gone fine. I never realized that anyone would be interested. When I saw that they were I began to upload whatever movies I had thought were interesting without any subtitles.
At that point I stopped writing subtitles. At that time there were still a dozen or so left that I had intended to get around to.
This one, The Egyptian (1954), was next in line. I've given up on writing subtitles for it. They are not available in the Internet.
So, beginning with this one, I will show you the ones I intended to get around to. You won't find them outstanding. They were personal favorites of my wife.
So, please consult IMDb for details about actors, etc., and read my text file containing comments on this movie I found there.
Of course there is no closed caption file, either.
