Plot:Jason Nesmith (Tim Allen), a down-and-out, William-Shatner-as-Captain-Kirk type of actor is a drunk who has a hopelessly lost life when he is retrieved from Earth by a real alien race that believes the television shows that were broadcast into space are "historic documents." The aliens have recreated his ship, and now expect him and his crew to live out their roles or the aliens will die. Comedy ensues.
