Three aging Easy Riders attempt to rediscover their wilder young years by planning a road trip. One weekend in Wales, a drug deal on a farm full of Cannabis, and two warring gangs.... What could possibly go wrong? Fuelled by pot and alcohol, they relive the pleasures of camping and playing air guitar, all whilst trying to avoid a turf war.

Freebird is a British biker comedy that takes elements of last year\'s dismal Travolta-led Wild Hogs and the stoner perennial Withnail & I while chucking in a bit of Lock, Stock... for good measure.


Three bike couriers - Grouch (Phil Daniels), Tyg (Geoff Bell) and Fred (Gary Stretch) - set off from London to the Welsh mountains in search of a hippy with a cannabis farm that may be as much myth as fact. The trip has special significance for each of them. Grouch has promised to move into his girlfriend\'s flat come Monday and finally have a crack at growing up; Fred has made a promise to a mate that under no circumstance will he return empty-handed; for Tyg, a parochial Londoner, North Wales could be the other side of the world, so alien is its landscape to the city streets of home.


So when the woods are suddenly full of noises, Tyg is scared out of his wits. More worryingly they\'re also full of rival biker gangs and a giant Russian wrestler. And to make matters even worse, they\'ve all scoffed down a fistful of mushrooms of the magic variety. Freebird relies too heavily on the easy stereotypes of British comedy and the assumption that drug consumption is in and of itself deeply hilarious, which may have been the case back when Cheech and Chong were lighting up for the counter culture, but now seems as hackneyed as another Pete Doherty crack story.
