This video contains two skits from the Evoteck Theater production
Hey, Look Through Here
Preformed at 426 Ponce de Leon, Decatur, GA, USA 10/03/92
This is one of the many theatrical offerings by a renegade band of post-industrial mystics
In the tradition of ?Tradition! we don?t need no stinkin? tradition.? But without the sneer.
By the time Hey, Look Through Here was presented, Evoteck Theater had morphed into Project 426 which in turn had mutated into Ok Alright Theater.
Some people say that all the humor presented over the years by Evoteck to an unsuspecting public was nothing but one protracted inside joke which was all setup with no punch line. Other people claim that there was a punch line but most people only get it on their death-bed when they break into hysterical laughter for no apparent reason just before they buy or sell the farm (depending on market conditions.) Still others report that rather than a punch line it was more a caress line or at the very most a saucy spanking line.
Whatever the case?Ben Harubin stars in both skits and wrote the second and more substantial?not to mention four dimensional?of the two, which I have named ?Adrift with the Habershams?
Ben is a painter who resides in Atlanta GA. It is obvious from the performance he gives here that his unique talent has been known to drift into other realms also, such as writing and acting. If you should get the chance to view his art at a show in Atlanta it is not to be missed. His present paintings are unique and most ingenious not to mention extra dimensional, and represent a great venue in which to park any superfluous capital you may have shrinking away in the market. No really, his stuff is extraordinary, as is his unassuming and delightful wisdom as demonstrated in Adrift with the Habershams.
Unfortunately, any recordings of the many creative works of Evoteck Theater where for all practical purposes nothing but an after-thought. The production values afforded by money are missing in these near home-movie recordings of their live shows. Yet other values are uniquely present.
The Setup: written by Carlos Dwa

Adrift with the Habershams: written by Ben Harubin
