SINOPSIS / SYNOPSIS

Harry Potter se entera, el día de su décimo primer cumpleaños, de que es el hijo huérfano de dos poderosos hechiceros, y que él mismo también posee poderes mágicos. En el colegio Hogwarts de Magia y Hechicería, junto con otros niños que también tienen algún tipo de poderes y donde aprenderán todo lo necesario para ser magos, Harry se embarcará en la aventura de su vida.

La novela de Rowling fue llevada al cine y obtuvo un impresionante éxito de taquilla allá donde se estrenó, haciendo las delicias de los millones de niños y adolescentes que se habían quedado hechizados con el libro. Las aventuras del joven aprendiz de mago es una simpática historia llena de recursos pero que, aparte de sus espectaculares decorados y efectos especiales, poco aporta a un género de \"comedia fantástica llena de aventuras\" dirigida para niños. Revestida de una excelente factura, y reconociendo que encandila a los más pequeños, queda lejos de ofrecer la \"magia\" cinematográfica de esos títulos infantiles que no sólo no aburren a los mayores sino que los convierten en niños durante dos horas, y cuyo mejor exponente, quizá, sea el famoso extraterrestre de Steven Spielberg. En cualquier caso, dado el cine actual, supone una aventura con cierto encanto.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer\'s Stone is the first film in the Harry Potter series based off the novels by J.K. Rowling. It is the tale of Harry Potter, an ordinary 11-year-old boy serving as a sort of slave for his aunt and uncle who learns that he is actually a wizard and has been invited to attend the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry is snatched away from his mundane existence by Hagrid, the grounds keeper for Hogwarts, and quickly thrown into a world completely foreign to both him and the viewer. Famous for an incident that happened at his birth, Harry makes friends easily at his new school. He soon finds, however, that the wizarding world is far more dangerous for him than he would have imagined, and he quickly learns that not all wizards are ones to be trusted.
