This spectacular 4-CD set includes the complete following Prestige LPs: "The New Miles Davis Quintet", "Cookin' With the Miles Davis Quintet", "Relaxin' With the Miles Davis Quintet", "Miles Davis and the Modern Jazz Giants", "Workin' With the Miles Davis Quintet" and "Steamin' With the Miles Davis Quintet". Includes a bonus disc of previously unissued material from Tonight Show with Steve Allen (11/17/1955), Blue Note, Philadelphia (12/08/1956) and Cafe Bohemia, New York (05/17/1958). The enhanced portion of CD 4 has five complete transcriptions of Miles Davis Solos and tune ups from the abovementioned shows. Includes a 20-page booklet with notes from jazz historian Bob Blumenthal.
