Discworld is an adventure game - no other kind of game could have served as a medium by which to put across the Pratchett humour and as you would expect its pretty damn hilarious as well. For those who know nothing about Pratchett?s novel let me give you a rather lame introduction to them. The Discworld series are fantasy novels set in the mythical world known as Discworld - a flat circular land held upon the back of 4 elephants standing on the back of a giant turtle swimming through space to an as yet unknown destination. Yes, I know, bear with me. Pratchett?s world is packed full of some of the most bizarre characters imaginable, satirising the fantasy genre mercilessly and just about anything else which stands in its path. The novels are as bizarre as they are hilarious and they have a huge army of fans amongst the young and old alike, they can easily be enjoyed upon two levels.


This game is absolutely amazing. A must buy for any hardcore adventure fan, it involves a hell of a lot of gags and is quite frustrating at times, but still an addictive masterpiece. This game will take you an age to complete but is well worth it. The only trouble with this game is that it and its sequel (Discworld 2) are some of the rarest games to find and quite expensive considering its a ps1 game!
