Vinyl scratches and sparse beats augment the brooding tension of tracks such as Water Torture by Cee Why, and The Streets' Stay Positive.
As the onscreen drama unfolds with tales of playground drug use, teenage suicide and bullying, good time party tunes aren't the order of the day.
Akala spits out tough street logic backed by a mournful, looping string refrain on Roll Wid Us. Dizee Rascal shows what a helium-fuelled
cheeky chap he is on Jus' A Rascal. The women get a shout with Shystie's tough fronting on Woman's World, and UK hip-hop hero Roots Manuva flexes
his rhyming credentials, offering a welcome dose of funk on Witness.
