Fantastic Four: The End is a six-issue mini-series from Marvel Comics depicting
a possible future for the members of the Fantastic Four, Marvel's 45 year old
superteam/ superfamily. Written and pencilled by Alan Davis and inked by Mark Farmer,
with John Kalisz supplying the color art and Dave Lanphear the lettering. Issue one
appeared in November, 2006 although it is dated January, 2007.
Set in the future, Reed and Sue Richards, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm lead somber
separate lives. The supergroup separated personally and professionally after an

Reed spends his time creating utopian inventions for the furtherance of intergalactic
peace. Sue investigates underwater mysteries. Johnny has joined the Avengers, while
Ben lives with his family on Mars.
Reed's Methuselah Project has led to greatly increased life spans for those who
undergo its treatments. While most people have taken advantage of the project,
a significant minority has followed Dr. Strange's example and age normally.
