I sat, content with my surroundings and decided to co-write the most powerful, charming, romantic, life changing book in the world but I got bored of that and co-wrote Al.
Id like to dedicate this book to anyone who has the confidence in themselves to put their imagination into words, sounds or sights (with the exception of anyone whos ever been involved with Pop Idol or the X Factor).
Special dedications also go out to: Martin, Squire Tris and Kirsten Dunst.
Long live Right Said Fred. (And yes, we know only two of them are bald cunts).

When co-writing this book, at times I pondered on whether it would be worth the effort, especially after my wife walked out and took the kids and dog. But I knew I had to persevere, and spent many an hour sitting in a birdhide with notepad and pen, working out the next move for Al, Rita, Lizzie, Fred, Frank and all the other characters of this book. Eventually, with Kelly, it took shape and the book wrote itself in the end. Not literally of course, I mean it was quite easy to do. And so, now we have a book which we hope you will enjoy as much as we enjoyed making it. The wife will come back once the royalties start coming through.
