The most marvelous Italian cartoon character is Lupo Alberto. He is from the most entertaining farm in existence, it's more chaotic than not - it may happen that you run into a mass of blue fur with bones as thin as cords, and bulging eyes on a face with a red reindeer nose; this would be Lupo Alberto. A victim of countless clubbing's by a dog named Mosa¨ who resembles an overweight abominable snowman and always carries a wooden club. Alberto would venture out to go find his lover - the yellow bony-necked chicken Marta, who would love to fly away with him at any moment in time. You will come across the underground dwellers; Enrico la Talpa who is gifted with grand fantasy, but brought back to reality by his wife Cesira - the wife mole with her head wrapped in a red bandana. She has to deal with a husband that is too spontaneous, who always is thinking of inventions or adventures, and who has his head in the clouds. He thinks all things are possible, and gets into various situations all due to his curious nature.

Silver, pseudonimo di Guido Silvestri (Modena, 9 dicembre 1952), è un autore di fumetti italiano, noto soprattutto per aver dato vita al personaggio umoristico di Lupo Alberto. Silver inizia a lavorare nel campo del fumetto nello studio di Bonvi - alias Franco Bonvicini - autore delle Sturmtruppen, con il quale compie il suo apprendistato. Lavora da principio su personaggi già famosi come Cattivik, Nick Carter e Capitan Posapiano. In breve amplia le sue attività iniziando ad essere autore delle proprie storie, sempre con questi personaggi come protagonisti. Nel 1974, avviene la svolta nella sua carriera. Sul Corriere dei Ragazzi iniziano a essere pubblicate delle strisce con protagonisti gli animali di una fattoria. Nonostante la prima striscia in assoluto abbia come protagonista un gallo, è un simpatico lupo azzurro il vero protagonista della serie, ambientata nella Fattoria McKenzie, Lupo Alberto, appunto, follemente innamorato di una gallina, Marta, ed ostacolato da un grosso cane bobtail di nome Mosè, guardiano del pollaio. Il personaggio ed i suoi comprimari riscuotono da subito un grande successo, sia nella redazione che tra il pubblico. Le sue strisce, oltre che nel fumetto in edicola, si possono trovare anche sul settimanale Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni, dove fa il verso ai programmi della televisione italiana. Ha sempre vissuto (e vive attualmente) a Correggio, in provincia di Reggio Emilia.
