By Sebastian Baczkiewicz.
In the Nineties, Russia was a Wild West likened to Chicago in the Thirties – rife with stories of theft, extortion, fraud and assassinations. The Accountant Of Solyanka Square is a fast-paced thriller that tells of one man\'s rise through this slice of recent history.
Moscow, 2008. Andrei, a businessman with a shady past, is on his way to the airport. Kidnapped en route, he finds himself in a dark cellar being confronted by his estranged son, Victor. Several years ago, Andrei sent Victor to a private school from where he would later go missing. Now Victor\'s kidnapped his own father to force him to answer the questions he\'s always shirked: how he rose from the son of a drunken car mechanic to become a man whose touch turned everything to gold. Over the course of the interrogation, more is learned about Andrei as a young man, his meteoric rise and the high price he\'s had to pay.
