From the Radio Times
There's not a pink fluffy bunny in sight in these five short stories inspired by Valentine's Day-and if there were, it would be butchered. These are love stories with a tart twist. Some are desperately sad, like Monday's Better Off without Them by Philip Ardagh. Others are inspiring, especially Thursday's Sparks, written and read by Frances Tomelty, in which a widow finds her self-esteem restored through an unlikely mix of bad compost and bad men. And there's even laughter on Friday when Julian Clary camps it up in Interview with a Cupid by Polly Devlin. No-one will ever think of Cupid as a cute fat-thighed little boy ever again.
