Torrent description

This torrent will enable you to run Shadow of the Colossus (and other games) off HDD.
It includes: HDL 0.7c with SOTC patch, Independence compiler 3.0, HDLD server 0.8.3a (newest, patched) and HDL_dumx 0.8.3

If you're a newbie to HDL, read below:

First, of course you'll need a fat PS2, HDD (for compatible ones click here) and a PS2 network adapter.
Simply start Independce compiler 3.0, follow on-screen directions (havea PS1 original handy) ,add HDLD_SVR.elf (only if you want to tranferPS2 games over network) and HDLDSOTC.elf under exploit options, makethe image, burn the CD and load it into your PS2 (need to be able torun burned CDs) and make sure you have 850KB free on your memory card.

Now start your PS2 with the PS1 CD you picked inside the tray andLauchElf will start. Press select to choose the elf programs on yourmemory card. (for more help see here).

Games over network: Now run HDLD_SVR from LaunchElf to transfer gamesover network. You need a CROSSOVER network cable (ask in a computerstore, this isn't an ordinary network cable) to connect your PS2 to aRJ-45 (network port) in your PC. Go to Control Panel > NetworkConnections > right click Local Area Connection or the one that thecable is connected to and pick Properties > click Internet Protocoland then Properties > check Use the Following IP adress and write:
IP: 192.168.0.1
SN MASK: 255.255.255.0
DG: leave blank
Now close that and wait. Run hdl_dumb (not dump, that is for advanced users) (instructions) click attach and if everything is fine the PC should recognize the PS2 and you'll be able to tranfer ISOs. (for compatible games search here).
(when you're done with the tranfer revert back to "obtain an IP adressautomaticaly" inside Internet Protocol so you can again use thatconnection for other stuff)

Games over PS2 DVD drive: simply run the HDL and you'll have the optionof copying games from your tray to the HDD. You can only copy games youwould normally be able to run (for instance, copied DVDs with a chip),which makes this an easier but for some users more limited option. (compatible games here)

Running games: Load HDLoader and pick a game to run! Press select if PS2list told you to choose one of the compatability modes.
