Prehistorik 2 è un videogioco a piattaforme sviluppato e pubblicato dalla Titus Interactive nel 1993 per MS-DOS e Amstrad CPC. Il gioco è il seguito di Prehistorik.

Come nel predecessore il giocatore impersona un uomo delle caverne che deve affrontare livelli dove incontra animali e dinosauri da eliminare con la sua clava o schivare. Il giocatore durante il suo girovagare può raccogliere oggetti bonus o cibo. Gli oggetti possono essere nascosti entro altri oggetti che se colpiti rilevano il loro contenuto. Rispetto al predecessore sono stati aggiunti diversi particolari che ne incrementano l'intrattenimento. Per esempio dopo una corsa il personaggio se si ferma inizia a respirare in modo evidente, se beve troppo a lungo le sue labbra si colorano di rosso. Mentre nel predecessore era necessario raccogliere una certa quantità di cibo in Prehistorik 2 il giocatore deve solo arrivare alla fine del livello prima dello scadere del tempo.

Il gioco è considerato abandonware ed è disponibile gratuitamente su diversi siti specializzati. Il gioco funziona correttamente anche sui computer moderni sebbene possa mostrare degli strani comportamenti. La generazione dei codici di accesso ai vari livelli dipende dal BIOS del computer e quindi computer diversi generano codici diversi.

Prehistorik 2 is a sequel to the platform game Prehistorik. It was developed by Titus Interactive for DOS and Amstrad CPC in 1993.

Like in its predecessor, the main character of Prehistorik 2 is a caveman who goes in quest for food, fighting various animals and humorous end of level bosses.

The game is a simple platform game where the player walks and jumps his/her way through the levels and whacks enemies in the head with a club. Points can be collected by both whacking enemies and collecting items (including food, diamonds, video games, etc). The levels contain hidden food items which can be discovered by hitting the right spots with the club.

The creators added a lot of detail to the game, which indeed increases the entertainment factor. If the player runs for a long distance and then stops, the caveman will be out of breath. Also, without drinking for a long time, the caveman's lips will turn purple.

Controlling the game is very simple, with only the four arrow keys for movement and the space bar as attack button.

Instead of having to collect at least the right amount of food to be able to reach the next level as in Prehistorik, in Prehistorik 2 it is only required to get a lighter before the player can go to the next level. All in all, there are ten levels plus three bonus levels.

Questa è una raccolta pressoché completa di tutto ciò che c'è da sapere di questo fantastico gioco d'un tempo, perfettamente giocabile ancora oggi!
Contiene l'emulatore DosBox per giocare in Windows, vi consiglio di spostare la cartella prehist2 sotto c:\ e digitare dall'interno di dosbox il comando "mount c: c:\prehist2" ed entrate in c:, dopodiché digitate pre2 per il gioco normale, pre2trn per il "god mode"
