The Chrono Trigger ROM included an anti-piracy feature wherein it prevents progress through the game via lockups or disabling event switches. This was bypassed by applying cheats to the ROM. Since most cards have built-in cheat support all we need is an up-to-date cheat database which includes the bypass

My fellow gamers. Included here are the cheat databases that you will all need for the following cards:

Just remember to support SquareEnix by buying the original. Who knows, maybe one day the Chrono Trigger DS cart will be a rare collectors item just like its SNES counterpart. It's just like owning a piece of history.

(0) VERY IMPORTANT! Before applying the cheats make sure that your Chrono Trigger rom boots up without issues. (Some roms circulating around may not work for a specific card, if this happens try to download a new one. As an example the ROM release from ESPALNDS works for some cards. But doesn't work for EDGE) The Chrono Trigger rom included in this compilation has been tested and is working for EDGE.
(1) Still Important! Make sure your card has the latest Firmware/OS. For firmware updates please visit your cards specific website.
(2) The Chrono Trigger cheats in these databases are designed for the JAPANESE rom. It may not work if you have the US rom
(3) With that said the JAPANESE version of Chrono Trigger has the full ENGLISH translation in it as well. If the default language setting of your DS is english the game will also start in english. If for some reason the game starts in japanese just start the game up to the point where you can control Chrono. Look at the lower screen. There will be icons on the right. Touch the 2nd to the top icon (the one that looks like a DS screen) Press R until you're on the #4 tab, the lowest option there will be the language option.
(4) Don't forget to enable the "Piracy Check Bypass Cheat" after installation
For M3 Real users use "Game Fix (M3 Real Version)
For other cards use "Game Fix (Non-M3 Real Version)
