Nick Warburton’s nicely judged, well-observed comedy stars Anna Calder-Marshall as Miss Tilney (single, trusting), and Richard Johnson as Mr Fordham, the new gardener she’s just taken on. He’s well spoken but looks a bit odd, with straggly hair and a faded baseball cap too young for him. Is he really a gardener? What’s he doing with her lawn? Turns out he’s after the perfect off-break. Further surprises await.
