Included in this kit are as follows:
1) DivX converter 6.2.1 Divx Desktop player 6.4 mpeg II plug-in and Divx codec for windows media player (all all install automatically when you install the divxinstall program contained in the folder)
You might be better off to install a freely downloadable newer divx 6.8 kit instead at divx.com except for the two following points:
1) At this point, subtitles dont seem to be produced by the current divx converter program due toa bug or program glitch it would appear. In any event that has been our experience and why we switched to the slightly older version instead and are
including it therefore here for you. Simply say "No" when you are prompted to install updates so that you remain with this safer version at thispoint.
2) The Divx player version here is less bulky in handling video files and freezes are not the problem they are with the current version, we find. You may use my serials till you get your own, if you are able. Otherwise,it costs me nothing to share! The information is included in a separate text file with instructions for usage.
Both DVD shrink 3.2 and DVD decrypter are included as well along with an explanation of which to use for the purpose at hand to get your DVDs backed up and or converted to DivX.
