Lander v1.1 (c) 1990 by TMA (Includes DOSBox v0.72 and stripped Windows 3.11)
Alright, I got really bored and nostalgic one day so I set out to figure a way to make the old Lander game work in WinXP+.
To do so I set up a stripped down version of Windows 3.11 on DOSBox and tweaked all the settings to make it as lightweight/usable as possible (it isn't exactly very memory efficient to load Windows 3.11 to simply play a little game but hey, what's 30mb of memory nowadays?)
In order to share the joy of playing this ancient game I've put it all in a WinRAR SFX which unpacks to C:\Program Files\DOSBox
The "Lander" program shortcut in the DOSBox folder can/should be placed in your Start menu somewhere.
- The path is important because it is used within the DOSBox config files and the program shortcut uses commandline switches.
- The game is still buggy but I think it always was: The lander doesn't drop like it's supposed to; just keep doing a new game (Alt+G+N) until it does.
