Advanced Disk Catalog (ADC) is an easy to use program with an explorer-like interface which allows you to catalog the drives: floppy disks, hard drives (including networked ones), optical disks, CD-ROMs, ZIP discs, USB memory, Solid State Discs and other media.

With ADC you are able to:

- Organize volumes, folders and files into categories;

- Add comment to each file, folder and disk;

- Analyse ZIP, ARJ, RAR, CAB, ARC, ACE, LZH and TAR archives;

- Search for files/folders using file name or your own comments (with wildcards),
limiting the search results by date, size and category;

- Search for files in archives;

- Update volume information (with saving comments and categories);

- Generate the reports which can be imported from programs like Microsoft Excel;

- Search for duplicated files;

- Compare catalogued disk with actual (new files, changed files, modified files);

- Import descriptions from files like "file_id.diz", "files.bbs", "descript.ion" etc.;

- Extract description from executable modules (EXE, DLL etc.);

- Extract descriptions from WAV, MP3, WMA and OGG files;

- Extract information about audio CD's from Internet CD database (freedb.org);

- Extract descriptions from HTML and Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files;

- Extract descriptions from Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio);

- ... and much more.

ADC is written totally in C++, doesn't use any database engines and so is very fast. The database generated by ADC is very compact.

To install ADC, just run the "setup.exe" and follow the instructions. You'll need to select the target directory and the components to install.

generate customisable and exportable reports, e.g., MS Excel;

search for duplicate files;

delete folders or files from a catalogue;

hide files in a catalogue;

unlimited number of ADC databases (.cat) and its automated duplicate (.bak) can be created;

databases and categories can be merged or exported into one of four currently supported external formats e.g., CSV-files (comma-separated values) for MS Excel, DBF-files for MS Access or any DBF-compatible software, SQL-files for MS SQL or My SQL database (for web publishing), and XML-files - (common HTML extension files format).
