Alesha Anjanette Dixon [born October 7th 1978 in Welwyn Garden City, England] is an English singer, MC, songwriter, model and television personality. Like Matt Willis, Kenzie, and Kerry Katona before her, Alesha Dixon became a household name not through her music, but thanks to an appearance on a reality show. Her career began in 1999 when she met Sabrina Washington when they both joined Dance Attic [a popular hip-hop/jazz dance academy in West London], and together they formed a duo and recorded a demo titled 'Inspiration'. During an audition, they met with Su-Elise Nash and then together they formed a trio. They were soon signed to Telstar Records with the addition of a new member, Zena McNally, and became the popular UK garage/R&B girl band, Mis-Teeq. Initially an R&B act, the group soon embraced the garage sound that dominated the charts in the early 90s to become one of the biggest girl groups in the U.K. All five singles from their platinum debut album, Lickin' on Both Sides, reached the Top Ten and the band was nominated for both Brit and MOBO awards. With her photogenic appearance and quickfire MC skills, Dixon became the unofficial frontwoman of the group and earned a reputation as one of Britain's most exciting pop stars. After Dixon was crowned Strictly Come Dancing champion in December 2007, beating actor Matt Di Angelo in the final, she signed a four-album contract with Asylum Records in 2008.

'The Alesha Show' is the second album from Alesha Dixon and her first album using her full name [her previous album was credited simply to "Alesha"]. The album was released on November 24th 2008 in the UK, preceded by the Xenomania-produced lead single 'The Boy Does Nothing'. On the album, Dixon is reinvented as a sassy, soulful songstress, utilizing her fine voice across a variety of genres from pop to funk and even mambo. 'The Alesha Show' debuted on the UK Albums Chart at No.26. It was announced via her official website that the album had been certfied gold denoting 100,000 copies shipped. The album includes a hidden track 'Mystery', which I have extracted for your listening convenience and called Track 15.
