Before using this mod, you may want to use a different method of using my guide rather than an in-game mod, please check this page out for the many ways to use my guide!
Installing this mod is just as easy (if not easier), than installing any other mod out there.
Simply unzip the contents of the downloaded .zip file into your WoW AddOns directory, usually found at: World of WarcraftInterfaceAddons unzip-here
*The Joanas_Guide folder and TomTom folder must be in the Addons directory with the corresponding files inside.
NOTE: The TomTom mod comes bundled with my in-game mod so that enables you to have an automatic waypoint arrow to show up on your game screen which directs you where to go.
NOTE: The Cartographer Mod must be disabled now, or there will be conflicts, so disable it.
You can also use my MetaMap coordinates along with this if you like, please go to that page for the installation instructions for MetaMap and my corresponding coordinates that go with it. I highly recommend using MetaMap and my coordinates that go with it as it will pinpoint a lot of stuff on your map screen.
When loading up WoW, on the bottom left of your character selection screen, there will be an "AddOns" button, click that, and make sure the Joanas_Guide mod is checked along with TomTom. And make sure cartographer mod is DISABLED.
The waypoint arrow only works for the current step you have selected at the top of the mod.
Not all steps use the arrow, only the steps that are just a one-coordinate location to go to. Also the Death Knight starting area does not have any automatic waypoint arrows, as the zone does not have an ability for me to put the arrows in it yet! That will come hopefully later! And the arrow is not EXACT, it goes to whole coordinate numbers (I will be improving this so all waypoints will be more precise later on), so the arrows will take you in the general direction, but not the very exact location as of right now.
Another important thing to note, is you have bindable keys for the "previous" and "next" buttons, you will find that in the "key bindings" menu (near the very bottom of the list of bindings). I highly recommend using these bindable keys as it will make using this in-game guide much easier, and you won't have to press the buttons on the mod. I personally use "R" for previous, and "F" for next, seems to work very well for me.
Sometimes when you start WoW up the mod will default itself to be minimized. All you have to do is double-click the "J" icon (see pic below) and it will be maximized then. Then by clicking the "x" button on the top right of the mod it will minimize the mod back to your minimap.
Keep the Online HTML versions up to ALT-TAB to and watch the videos, see the pictures, and quest links.
COMPATIBILITY WITH THE 70-80 MOD: If you own both of Joana's 1-70 and 70-80 Mods, you can have them both installed in the AddOns folder, but you will only be able to have one of them enabled at a time. So for example, if you have the 1-70 guide mod enabled, you will have to disable the 70-80 mod (or vice versa). You can enable and disable mods from the "AddOns" button on the character select screen inside WoW.
