Like Backtrack, Damn Vulnerable Linux is a GNU\Linux distribution dedicated to IT security, pentesting, shellcoding and more than anything, reverse code engineering. It includes wargames, tools, documentations. Meant to be as vulnerable as possible you can test your IT security and IT anti-security skills for free and legally.

Installation notes
To use Damn Vulnerable Linux you should use virtualization software like VMWare, VirtualBox or any others.
Burning the ISO file as a DVD and installing it on a computer is not recommended due to its vulnerable nature.

1/ Create a new virtual machine
2/ Add the ISO file as the source CD
3/ Run the installation or use it as a live cd
4/ Enjoy testing it.
