This is from a personal recording made in 1988 in Club Soda in Montreal. It was the second-to-last performance of Roy's life, and has never been released in public. It was very LOUD (which is good because people don't talk so much around the condenser microphones) and the recordist stood near the FOH and monitor speakers and got a good mix. His band was excellent, the recording with just a touch of distortion, and Roy's playing... this recording is an important document in his discography.
Originally recorded on a Sony Professional Walkman and transfered to a Tascam DP-02 digital 8-track. It is a low bit rate conversion but is pretty decent for a live recording.
