The year of 1935 was coming to an end when three inssurections, in three differente brazilian capitals, tried to overthrow the Getulio Vargas goverment. The Vargas goverment was merciless with the rebels, with several of them being brutally tortured. In few days the movement was completely dominated in what became one of the first steps for the rise in Vragas authoratism, which would lead to the 1937 coup, which would leave Vargas in office until 1945. 1935 - Heist of Power documents all the moves on the communist inssurection and all the steps of a complex process, documenta todos os lances da insurreição comunista e todas as etapas de um complexo story wich had several key figures as protagonists, such as Luiz Carlos Prestes, Octávio Brandão, Olga Benário, Gregório Bezerra, Giocondo Dias among other anti-heroes of the communist utopia in Latin America.



1935: Insurreição de 1935 - On november 27th, the 3º infantry regiment took to arms in the countrys capital (then, Rio de Janeiro). A few days before, military uprisings took place in Recife (PE) and Natal (RN). In the latter, during three days the rebels forces of ALN were in power. These rebellions, organized by the ALN were nos strictly military, since they arose from a wide mass movement, anti-imperialistc and democratic, throught the whole country.
