I would recomend this game to any sim's fan. It is much easier to control and I found it is alot easier game plan than any of the other sim's games.
I have played this game on the wii and I found the DS version much better and easier to control.
The game starts where you can personalise your sim, you then move into the village and start to meet the characters such as the mayre and the flower shop owner.

To get through the game you need to help out the people of the village to move onto the the next game play.
Within the game there are lots of fun little mini games such as a a game where you help the flower shop keper to make garland type flowers. As you score more points, harder levels open up. This allows you to earn money and collect these garlands to make sims happy in the village.

All round I find this game fun for all ages, however smaller players may need a little guidance.
Summary: Great game keeps you going for hours
