What is this thing? -
PhotoFucket aims to be an all-in-one tool for getting images/videos from PhotoBucket.com - a popular image hosting site. By using various search methods, PhotoFucket is able to access content in both "public" and "private" albums.

Public albums can be completely downloaded with speed and ease.

Private albums are "fusked" for content. Fusking is a brute-force method of accessing PhotoBucket content by "guessing" the names of files (e.g. Image001.jpg, DSCN0001.jpg, Scan003.jpg).

Please rest assured that there are no illegal hacks going on here. PhotoFucket simply automates activities that could be carried out manually on any web browser. PhotoFucket just does it faster ... a lot faster ;)

Cheating spouses and "permanently disabled" people going on ski trips don't fall under police jurisdiction. As a private investigator, you probably don't have the authority to subpoena the contents of a PhotoBucket account. Make sure this software is part of your arsenal of investigation tools!

What do I need to have? -
PhotoFucket should work fine for anyone with a Windows-based PC manufactured after 2000. Of course, you should expect slower performance with older PCs and faster performance with newer PCs. Here are the minimum system requirements:

Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista (32 & 64 bit)
Hardware: CPU - Intel x86-based architecture (Pentium III or equivalent); RAM - at least 128 MB
Network: Broadband Internet connection required

What do I need to know? -
The only piece of information that you absolutely, positively must have is the "account ID" of the PhotoBucket account you wish to work with. Everything else is pretty much gold-plating to satisfy power-users.

Getting a PhotoBucket user's account ID is usually pretty easy - it's not secret information. All you need is a link to a file in that person's account (perhaps from a PhotoBucket image the person posted somewhere). Just right-click the image and select "Properties," and look at the "Address:" shown.

Basic Usage -
Now that you know how to get a PhotoBucket user's account ID (see "What do I need to know?" above), you're all ready to do a basic search for content.

Step 1: Enter the account ID in the "Account ID" field in PhotoFucket.

Step 2: Press the "Search Now!" button in PhotoFucket.

That's it! Sit back and let PhotoFucket try to download all the content it can from the target user's account.

Advanced Usage -
If you need to refine things a bit to optimize your search, PhotoFucket provides a lot of tweaks for the power-user.

Album Name:
By default, PhotoFucket searches a user's root album for content. If you happen to know the name of an album you'd like to search, enter it in this field. The root album is indicated with a lone slash (/) or by just leaving the field blank. To search a sub-album of the root, add the sub-album's name after the slash (e.g. /Vacation). To search a deeper album, just add a slash between each parent/child in the hierarchy (e.g. /Vacation/Bahamas).

Custom File Prefixes:
PhotoFucket includes its own built-in list of common file name prefixes to fusk an album. However, you may wish to use additional file name prefixes that PhotoFucket does not use automatically. You can define as many custom file name prefixes as you like by separating each of them with a comma (e.g. weekend,party-,me_).

Custom File Suffixes:
By default, PhotoFucket adds no suffixes to the end of a file name. When a PhotoBucket user uploads a duplicate file, PhotoBucket automatically appends a dash and a digit to the end of the file name (e.g. -1,-2,-3) to make it unique. You can define as many custom file name suffixes as you like by separating each of them with a comma (e.g. -1,-2,-a,-b).

Start Index:
PhotoFucket normally starts at index 0 and moves forward counting up to 99999. However, you can define your own starting index here instead. PhotoFucket automatically handles the number padding so all possible variants of an index number are tried (e.g. 2,02,002,0002).

End Index:
By default, PhotoFucket wants to count indices from 0 - 99999. You can define your own ending index here as well. PhotoFucket automatically handles the number padding so all possible variants of an index number are tried (e.g. 9,99,999,9999).

File Extensions:
The most common file extension found on PhotoBucket is 'jpg'. However, other file common file extensions incude 'png' images and 'flv' videos. Check the boxes off next to each extension you want to include in your search.

HTTP Proxy:
For the security-minded or just plain paranoid. Tunneling your connections through an HTTP proxy can hide your IP address from PhotoBucket. You can enter an HTTP proxy in two forms: a numeric IP:PORT (e.g. 123.45.67.89:8080) or a named IP:PORT (e.g. my.proxy.com:8000).

Only Custom Prefixes:
If you specified any custom file name prefixes, then they will be included with all the other common file name prefixes that PhotoFucket searches by default. However, if you ONLY want to search for custom file name prefixes, check off this box to disable PhotoFucket's built-in list.

Where are the files saved!?!?
To open the folder that contains all your downloaded PhotoBucket content, click the 'File' menu-bar tab and then select 'Open "PhotoFucket" Folder'.

On Windows 2000 and Windows XP, your PhotoFucket folder is located at:
C:\Documents and Settings\{YourUserName}\PhotoFucket

On Windows Vista, your PhotoFucket folder is located at:
C:\Users\{YourUserName}\PhotoFucket

What about registering PhotoFucket?
By default, PhotoFucket offers a basic set of tools for searching PhotoBucket albums. However, some advanced features are not available unless the software is registered.

Registering PhotoFucket removes all limits on the software. The cost of registration is just $5 USD (Cheap!). In order to register, click the 'Registration' menu-bar tab and then select the appropriate function from the drop-down menu.

To maintain a high level of security, all payments are done through PayPal.

In most cases, you will receive your registration code via email within minutes of checking out through PayPal.

How about software updates?
PhotoFucket automatically checks once a day to see if an update has been released. If so, you will be prompted to get the latest version. You can also manually check for updates by clicking the 'Help' menu-bar tab and then selecting 'Check for Updates'.

Updating the software will not affect your registration status - your registration is valid for all future releases.
