This is the approximately one hour "special retrospective" on the topmost British television series "Upstairs downstairs" as found on disc four of the 24 volume collection available on ebay and sold by the arts and Entertainment network in the United states. While the copy of the entire collection we donated to the Toronto public library back then cost us $260 plus costs, its often only a hundred plus shipping on ebay in US dollars when bargains are found. That's a great investment for your local community library for all tome come and enjoy with audio visual facilities made available at public expense in addition.
As someone of British schooling I can tell you that Upstairs downstairs is most dear to me and was most formative in my schooling and upbringing in terms of the caliber of this genre of articulation standards of attainment as seen in this truly great series. All the world could better learn just this quality that are drawn to this material from a natural instinct to better communicate towards the best ends of greatest idealism. Of course the ability in use of words in the wrong ends is simply an exercise in sophistry, the act ofa charlatan and all can see this for what it is when looked at closely. As such, the best of people can make the best use of this great material and as for the rest i suggest they be disarmed of having advantages they do not in fact deserve to employ in the pursuit of other ends than that which is in fact in the best interests of real human needs in fact collectively.
I livethis show andit has a smost speacila and dear place in my soul. I use these words advisedly.
That said, this "25th anniversary special" retrospective of sorts doesn't do the series real justice I dont think. I think it is in fact fair to say that too much of the interview material involved the characters of Rose and ruby at the expense of more from hazel from this period and unfortunately Lord Bellamy who has passed away unfortunately. He was the greatest of men in his character in this series and there is much for all men of civility and good character and indeed greatest integrity to learn from his fine example. On the other hand there are enough glimpses of the actual program to give anyone a feel for the show as it were.
Enjoy, and please donate generously to your local library with discounted discs of this program and make available our supporting material already posted and soon to come from this genre of great edifying material - there is no better way to learn to improve your mind than to observe what is truly - the best of British, none have outdone them in this respect and are not likely to as well. On the other hand, have fun trying, as long as you do justice to all that we are truly called upon to be as the best sort of Christianly being on this planet, speaking in spirit rather in respect of religion of course - I realize we are all in a secular world now based on current politically correct wisdom.
Now I just wonder where that brilliant idea came from!
