For everyone who bought the series DVD boxset but felt (and rightly so) that something was missing. A fan-edited pilot episode, "Beginnings," that is based on the first 15 minutes or so from the Flash Gordon animated movie. This has been edited in a way so that it flows right into the first episode of the TV series, "A Planet In Peril." Video taken from the Japanese laserdisc release by VAP Video, resized where appropriate to remove on-screen Japanese subtitles. A couple of scenes had to be restored from the WVIT-TV bootleg due to disc skips.
