Hoewel hij nog steeds een tiener was heeft Donny (Adam Sandler) zijn zoon Todd (Andy Samberg) alleen opgevoed tot zijn 18e verjaardag. Ze hebben elkaar jaren niet meer gezien maar op de avond voordat Todd gaat trouwen staat Donny plots voor de deur. Donny probeert wanhopig om weer contact te leggen met zijn zoon maar is gedwongen om te gaan met de gevolgen van zijn slechte opvoeding.

Storyline

While still in his teens, Donny (Adam Sandler) fathered a son, Todd (Andy Samberg), and raised him as a single parent up until Todds 18th birthday. Now, after not seeing each other for years, Todds world comes crashing down on the eve of his wedding when an uninvited Donny suddenly shows up. Trying desperately to reconnect with his son, Donny is now forced to deal with the repercussions of his bad parenting skills.
