Foyles War Season 3 Episode 3: They fought in the fields (7 november 2004)

Plot:
De onderzoeken van hoofdinspecteur Foyle worden in de TV serie gevolgd.
Afgewezen om actief deel te nemen aan de oorlogshandelingen wordt Foyle dagelijks met de duistere praktijken er van geconfronteerd.
Met zijn chauffeur Sam en zijn ondergeschikte Paul Milner onderzoekt Foyle moorden, diefstal en bedrog, oorlogsmisdaden, misdaden uit hartstocht en misdaden uit hebzucht omdat misdaden in het algemeen niet ophouden in oorlogstijd.

Episode 3:
Boer Hugh Jackson wordt doodgeschoten in zijn stoel.
Vlakbij wordt een Duitse parachutist aangetroffen, hangend in een boom. Zijn pistool is verdwenen.
Voordat Foyle en Milner de kans krijgen hem te ondervragen, wordt hij als krijgsgevange weggevoerd.
Sam gaat werken op de boerderij on te ontdekken wat daar zoal speelt.
Boerenzoon Tom en de landarbeiders Rose en Joan voeren iets in hun schild.
