Plot:

Born Anthony Edward Stark, and usually called by his nickname, "Tony", he is an industrialist playboy and genius engineer who suffers a severe heart injury during a kidnapping in which his captors attempt to force him to build a massively destructive weapon. He instead creates a powered suit of armor to save his life and escape captivity. He later decides to use the suit to protect the world as Iron Man.[1] Through his multinational corporation, Stark Industries, Tony created military weapons and his own metal suit is laden with technological devices that enable him to fight crime. Initially, Iron Man was a vehicle for Stan Lee to explore Cold War themes, particularly the role of American technology and business in the fight against communism. Subsequent re-imaginings of Iron Man have gradually removed the Cold War themes, replacing them with more contemporary concerns such as corporate crime and terrorism.

Notes:

These are not new scans but are actually scans that were previously available as the Complete Marvel Iron Man Comics DVD. These were converted scans from the Marvel DVD which had been previously released. These scans were c2c, but also included a distracting, in my opinion, copyright stamp on the bottom of each page. What I have done is remove the copyright stamp on each image. In addition the conversion process from the double page pdf to the cbz had split apart pages that were designed to be viewed together, I have put those images back together. I have also repaired the covers so there are copyright stamp free. Finally I re-sized all images to 1280pixels in width for single pages and 2560 pixels in width for double pages.

There are 88 comics in this collection almost all of them are c2c. The exceptions are The Iron Manual, and Iron Man AnnualÃ¢Â€â„¢s 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001. These annuals were part of the Complete Marvel CBZ Collection Iron Man edition but the artwork extends to the bottom of the page, and I donÃ¢Â€â„¢t have the artistic skills necessary to repair the damage done by the copyright stamp, so I used previously existing scans instead.

I have replaced a few covers were Marvel placed the copyright stamp in a location that wasn't conducive to removal. Tales of Suspense 51 had it's cover replaced due to excessive damage, as well as had two internal pages replaced which had been torn, taped, and then scanned.

I did quite a bit of work tagging all the advertisements in a ComicInfo.xml file in each comic. If you are using ComicRack you can filter out the ads, or remove them completely. I have included a guide to remove them in the torrent.
