Torrent description

Here it is, as promised... a tested offline installer of the new Cataclysm
alpha, but this time the enGB version. This torrent also includes an
updated version of the Sandbox r2290 so you can explore the world
for yourself. Be sure to read the instructions below to properly install
the game these instructions are also available in the Sandbox
readme.txt file . The updated sandbox works fine with my previous
enUS version as well.


Instructions:

1: Install World of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King GB version
2: Patch it up to at least 3.3.2.11403
3: Install World of Warcract: Cataclysm
4: Set your realmlist DataenGBrealmlist.wtf in your Cataclysm
installation folder to 127.0.0.1
5: Launch the sandbox SandBox.exe
6: Launch the game by running WOW.EXE not the launcher
7: Login with any username and password as long as they are the same
test/test, admin/admin etc
8: Enjoy!


Notes:

It actually uses the data files from the WOTLK installation to create
the Cataclysm installation, so make sure you install the alpha into a
separate folder default is C:Program FilesWorld of Warcraft Beta .

If you happen to have the enUS or any other than enGB version of
the game installed then rename that game folder, then follow the
instructions. Once you\'re done you can rename it back to trick the
installer to not detect your non-GB version of the game. This way you
can have your retail game working at the same time as the Cataclysm
alpha.

I discovered that the downloader/installer would crash if the original
\"installer.mfil\" file was there. Since that file only links to a secondary
mfil file on the Blizzard server I downloaded that one instead, and
replaced the original one. After that all my crashes stopped and the
installer worked just fine. The original file is still present in the Installer
folder.
