Torrent description

Digital Photo Recovery
Recover lost images from your digital camera memory card!

Art Plus Digital Photo Recovery tool can help you recover lost images from corrupted or accidentally formatted digital camera memory cards.
Works with ALL types of memory cards!

* It\'s able to recover images from formatted cards!
* Reads corrupted cards (even if they\'re not recognized by Windows)!
* Recovers JPG, TIF and most of RAW files!

Program should be able to read all memory cards currently available on the market and recover lost JPG, TIF and most of popular RAW file formats. While it\'s not optimized for that task, this program can actually also read damaged floppys, CDs and DVDs.

As of release 3.0 Art Plus Digital Photo Recovery can recover several new RAW file formats so the list of supported file types now includes JPG, TIF, DNG, Canon CR2, Konica-Minolta MRW, Nikon NEF, Olympus ORF, Pentax PEF, Sony ARW, SRF and SR2 and still some other RAW formats that may not be fully supported but can also be restored but possibly with incorrect extension (saved as TIF).

Also, support for more complex recovery options has been added that may help in some cases of really physically damaged cards or at least speed up the process in case of really large cards (4 or more GB) or in case you\'re running the program on slower computer. You can create the card image file (mirror) without parsing it right away to save time. You can parse the file to actually extract restored images later. If the program finds damaged areas on the card, you will be offered to abort or skip the damaged part. Earlier versions of the program would at that point simply stop and images beyond the damaged part were not accessible.

Troubleshooting!

In case of difficulties, please read this before contacting support!
Card is not listed in the \"Select Card Reader or Camera Drive\" menu
While trying to select the card drive letter, you can\'t see it listed in the pull down menu.

Camera software doesn\'t allow you to access the card as a physical drive.
If this is the case, you can either try attaching a camera to another PC or try using a Card Reader instead of the camera.

Card Reader or card contacts are dirty or Reader was not ready when you inserted the card.
Check the cables and try reinserting the card few times to see if it helps. If it doesn\'t, try restarting a computer and reinserting the card few times BEFORE running Digital Photo Recovery. Ideally, if you have a laptop or a PC with built in Card Reader, try recovering the card on that computer.

\"Drawing Failed\" error message
When you try to open some of \"recovered\" images you get \"Drawing Failed\" message.

Sometimes the issue is related to Windows default viewers bug!
If you see the \"Drawing Failed\" message while trying to open images that were restored, that still doesn\'t mean you\'re out of luck! Namely, it has been known that some Windows default image viewers (like Windows Picture and Fax Viewer) can suffer from temporary glitch while trying to open some JPG files! The fact you\'re maybe able to open some other JPG\'s doesn\'t mean much. We suggest that you try using popular viewers like Irfan View or FastStone Image Viewer instead!

Some image files are really incomplete!
When you\'re using the same card for a long time, you erase or format the card many times in a raw. Reusing the same card space to write and rewrite new images again and again. As a result, even though you don\'t see it, the card is actually full of tiny image fragments (maybe just few kb each) that our program also recognizes as images - that they are not! If you get \"Drawing Failed\" message on a file that\'s smaller than the image you would expect (full images are several megabytes large), most likely this is the reason. This is not due to a program failure but those images simply can\'t be recovered.
