1991 Beyond Records release of Bed Of Nails by China Rain.



When Atlantic Records gave up on Zebra after the release of 3.V., frontman and guitarist Randy Jackson decided to make a solo effort that was more hard rock than Zebra was. China Rain isn't far off where Zebra left off, though it leans more towards pop metal and melodic rock, which was still popular in the early 90's. Randy brought in a few well known musicians to help write the record, including Dave "The Snake" Sabo (Skid Row) and Mark Slaughter (Slaughter, Vinnie Vincent Invasion). The timing for the record release couldn't have been worse, as it was released the same time of the Grunge boom, and the record dissolved soon after. Tracks such as "You're Only Lonely Today", "Last Forever", and the title track "Bed Of Nails" are good examples of how good this record rocks.
