In July 1992, Rachel Nickell was murdered on Wimbledon Common in front of her two-year-old son. What followed was one of the nation's most controversial murder investigations. Police used a honey trap to try to get a confession from one man, Colin Stagg.

He suffered death threats, physical attacks, imprisonment, and became one of the most hated men in Britain. This drama documentary, which includes an exclusive interview with Colin Stagg, tells the shocking story of how police targeted an innocent man.

Speaking exclusively to the BBC, Colin recalls what happened before his arrest, how he coped with the avalanche of abuse he received as he stood trial for the murder, and how he is now rebuilding his life - 16 years later.
