UK Rave at that time was the bizz - no trip to trumpton, but propper rave . Straight out of a near-future movie we came -- bearing glowsticks and wistles, invisible mixing with our hands. we massed by the hundreds and then thousands in tripped-out warehouses, fields, abandoned houses, mansions and castles, farmers sheds, the motorway and even a park bench for the decks. Our clothes glowed beneath black lights and the strobe beat us up and pulsing, electronic music drove the people to dance as one.

We don\'t pay the 20 squid entrance fee to see anything. We go to experience the vibe -- the feeling of goodwill and acceptance the all-night gatherings generated. It was a state of peace and unity and our freedom to party that we could not find cant find in the real world . It was also a state of drug-induced euphoria that real world authorities often condemn as dangerous.
