Torrent description

This torrent was uploaded from www.TheBox.bz (signup is open and free) - the home of all British TV

I will start by saying that I was unable to find any details online that would help me ascertain which of the series this episodes represents. I have put it here because quite frankly this material is unlikely to be screened again and is, and will be, of historical value no doubt.

If I receive any additional information from our members I will of course update this description further.

The format was adult comedy mixed with close-up magic. The comedy was part stand-up and part sketches.

Jerry's material is considered so offensive that his shows rarely make it past the first run, let alone repeat viewings. He is often moved into the late night "all in bed" slot or the early hours of the morning.

The show itself consisted of two series with a total of eleven episodes. The Channel 5 broadcast dates were as follows:

01/06/2002

25/05/2002

18/05/2002

11/05/2002

04/05/2002

27/04/2002

17/12/2000

10/12/2000

03/12/2000

26/11/2000

19/11/2000

Production:

LWT Production. Tx. Channel 5. Sun. 23.35-00.10, 2000/11/19-2002/06/17.

New series GB, Ronin Entertainment. Tx. Channel 5. Sat. 2002/04/27 - 2002/06/01 Six parts

Jerry Sadowitz (taken from his Chortle biog):

Born in the States (04/11/1961), but brought up in Glasgow, Sadowitz has a well-deserved reputation of the bad boy of comedy.

An aggressive stand-up, and accomplished close-up magician, Sadowitz made his name by bristling with anger, much of it vented at the right-on comedy circuit around him and the audiences who came to see it.

He famously opened the Montreal comedy festival with the line "Hello, moose-f**kers" and was promptly knocked unconscious.

And at the Comedy Store, at the height of political correctness, he won a bet with fellow comics by saying: "Nelson Mandela, what a c**t." It was only the next night that he thought of a punchline for such an inflammatory comment. "You lend some people a fiver and you never see them again."

Aside from the rage, Sadowitz has also provoked the ire of the comedy establishment by railing off streams of unapologetic racist jokes in his perpetual desire to shock liberal audiences.

Sadowitz's first love, though, remains his magic and he spends years out of the spotlight to devote himself to his art. Recently, he has re-emerged to perform both magic and typically savage stand-up shows.

TV Appearances:
