Harry Manx emerged in 2001 with a unique take on the blues that was based on his studies of Indian classical music. His west meets cast approach--reflected in this CD's word play title--was achieved by mixing the familiar western sounds of his slide guitar and six-string banjo with the more exotic, eastern sounds of the mohan veena, an unusual 19-string guitar that he uses to replicate the sounds of both a guitar and a sitar.
