Als eine Gruppe von jungen Archaeologen bei Ausgrabungen ploetzlich
auf die Brille und ein Schriftdokument (datiert auf das Jahr 1357)
ihres Professors stossen, der kurz vorher, zu den Geldgebern der
Ausgrabungen, in die USA flog, stehen sie vor einem Raetsel, dass
schon bald geloest wird. Bei der Entwicklung eines
Teleportationsgeraets ist ein amerikanischer Konzern eher zufaellig
auf ein Wurmloch gestossen, durch das man in die Vergangenheit reisen
kann. Und genau dort steckt Professor Johnston (Billy Connolly) jetzt
fest. Klar, dass die Truppe sich nicht lange bitten laesst und selbst
dorthin reist, um ihn zu retten....
