A recently widowed antiquities professor (Beau Bridges) is having difficulties dealing with the family's loss and loneliness. As the children deal with the pain by either retreating into fantasy worlds or hiding behind attitudes, they all find themselves flung into a fantasy world of pure imagination and must get each other through the unexpected adventure.
