Henry appeals to the naughty child in all of us. A force of nature who unwittingly causes mayhem wherever he goes, Henry drives his well-meaning family mad.

Henry, leader of the Purple Hand Gang, lives in an ordinary house on the edge of a large town that contains all the things that Henry dreams of but his family avoid - multiplex cinemas, fast food joints and computer games arcades - heaven! Constantly irritated by his perfect brother Peter, Henry sometimes feels as though the world is against him. Take his parents for example. Why do they attempt to poison him with carrot sticks in his lunch box? Why do they walk ahead of him on the way to school, pretending he's not their son? Just because he sold Perfect Peter as a slave for 50p it's hardly fair, afterall, he did buy Peter back!
Horrid Henry

The animated Horrid Henry takes a child's eye view on the world. Henry may be horrid, but with UK book sales in excess of 5 million, he's also much loved by the millions of children who already know him through the entertaining stories of author Francesca Simon. They adore him because inside every child, there's a Horrid Henry (or Henrietta!) trying to get out.

Perfect Peter
-----------------
Perfect Peter is Horrid Henry's younger brother. He's perfect in every way, he's desperate to be loved, to do the right thing and to obey the rules. He likes to show off to his parents how good he is (and how bad Horrid Henry is). Life for Peter is one constant battle with Henry, who always says to Peter "Out of my way worm!"

Horrid Henry
----------------
Horrid Henry, as his name shows us, is an extremely naughty boy. Miss Battle-Axe even hates him! Technically speaking, he owns a secret club called "The Purple Hand Gang" which acts similiar to an intelligence agency; Henry himself is the main spy. He hates Moody Margaret and Perfect Peter, he also acts a spoiled brat when having to do something he refuses to do! His common catchphrase in the TV Series is "Eureka! That's it!" when coming up with an idea that will get himself into trouble or other people, his second common catchphrase is also "NOOOOOOO!" at the beginning of the TV Series. He hates vegetables and loves sweet, he also hates homework and school unlike Peter.

Mum
-------
Mum is Henry and Peter's mother, she has never trusted Henry to be well behaved, is extremely healthy, and always makes something with vegetables for dinner. She does healthy snacks for parties too. According to Henry, she has told him millions of times that he can never have another party because he is always naughty, and then she always lets him have ONE more chance every year. She always believes Peter and is best known for accusing Henry after Peter has told on Henry.

Dad
-------
Dad is the father of Henry and Peter, he always yells at Henry, but Dad never really yells at Peter, because hence his name, is nearly always perfect.

Great Aunt Greta
---------------------
Great Aunt Greta is never seen, all that is known about her is that she confuses Henry for a 4-year old girl and Peter for a teenage boy called Pete. She always gives Henry gifts aimed at young girls and Peter gifts aimed at older boys.

Moody Margaret
--------------------
Moody Margaret is like the girl version of Henry she is a tomboy with talent ,she loves showing off and playing tricks with sour Susan . Moody Margaret is the leader of the secret club and always wants her own way she is not afraid to be herself and dreams to defeat Henry .

Beefy Bert
-------------
The oldest and dimmest boy in Henry's class, he only ever says 'I dunno'.

Rude Ralph
--------------
Probably Henry's best friend who is always willing to assist Henry with his plans, he is also a member of the Purple Hand Gang. He has a tendency to be rude to people as his name suggests and is often seen hanging out with Henry, even though in some episodes they are enemies.

Gorgeous Gurinda
----------------------
A girl in Henry's class known for her beauty.

Weepy William
-----------------
An unpopular and extremely sensitive boy in Henry's class who is almost always seen crying and just about anything will make him burst into tears. He hates the colour 'red'. (As it's the color of blood.)

Sour Susan
--------------
Sour Susan is Margret's minion and best friend, she always has a grumpy and sour face. Sour Susan is mostly a parrot on Margaret acting like a dummy, and mostly says 'Yeah, Henry,' after Margaret.

Miss Battle-Axe
-------------------
Miss Boudica Battle-Axe is Henry's teacher, out of all the children in her class, she hates Henry most. She once appeared with her mother in "Horrid Henry dines at Restaurant le Posh". Probably the strictest teacher in the school.

Miss Lovely
-------------
Peter's teacher who is of a gentle nature and is very proud of Peter's progress and behaviour and is always saying nice things about him to his parents.

Mrs Oddbod
---------------
The headmistress of the school and is somewhat kinder to Henry than Miss Battle-Axe, she is generally good-natured but can act strange at times, for example, she was the 'time capsule thief' who dug up time capsules from the school grounds at night.

Prissy Polly
-------------
Henry's post-teen cousin who is always in a jumpy and hyper mood and is usually seen smiling.

Pimply Paul
-------------
A pimply-faced man who married Prissy Polly in "Horrid Henry's Wedding". He usually refers to Henry as a "brat".

Stuck-up Steve
------------------
Steve is Henry's Stuck up Cousin. Henry calls him so "Stuck up" because of how rich and spoilt Steve is compared to Henry. As on the episode Horrid Henry's Haunted House, Henry scares Aunt Ruby and Steve away from their house and Henry keeps the house and everything in it to himself.

Fluffy
-------
Fluffy is Peter's grey pet cat, who feuds with Henry's hamster, Fang (who makes dog noises). Fluffy is often shown in many episodes sitting by the window sill at night and as he clicks the remote control button next to him, the scene changes to sunrise.

New Nick
-----------
A new kid in Henry's Class. In "Horrid Henry's Sleepover" (found in the book "Horrid Henry's Stinkbomb"), Nick invited Henry for a sleepover in his house but in the middle of the night, Henry went home because Nick's house was horrible.
