Described by Nancy Banks-Smith of the Guardian as 'soothing as stroking a cat', this is an elegaic look at life in, on and around the upper reaches of the Mississippi River. Through a year in the life of back-woodsman Kenny Salwey, we experience the passing seasons and the effect they have on the wildlife that makes its home in this stunning and unspoilt part of America. If Leon Redbone had opted for making wildlife documentaries, this is what he would have produced.
