02 Adoption The noisy sex life of Clare's new neighbours is keeping her and Brian awake night after night.

03 Clare doesn't understand why she has never been invited to Ray's, especially as everyone else in the office has. She decides to call round unannounced, and is shocked by what she finds in his living room. Brian is attending a Men's Group each week, until Clare feels threatened by it.

04 Last Words Clare is relieved when her most detested client, Mrs Crossingham, dies. She attends the funeral, as it means an afternoon off work. Helen accompanies her - after all, she's seen Mrs Crossingham's file, so she feels like she knew her.
Brian is unsettled when Simon asks Megan out - he has a quiet word with Simon ensuring their first date is also their last.

05 It's CHRISTMAS and time for Sparrowhawk Family Centre office CHRISTMAS party. Brian is teaching Clare to drive. It is not a situation she is comfortable with, as it involves taking instruction, whereas, Brian is enjoying his role as instructor far too much. Will Clare ever get into third gear and will the office party ever divide the restaurant bill fairly!.

06 Stage Fright Brian writes a play to be performed by his A-level pupils - a barely disguised portrayal of his life with Clare, and his longing for Megan. Stung by Brian's accusations of unsupportiveness Clare decides to spring a surprise on Brian and organises a works outing to see the play.
