Later in 2007, the Mitchell & Webb recorded a pilot BBC Radio 2 sitcom entitled Daydream Believers, in which Mitchell played Ray, a science-fiction writer. The show was previously a one off television pilot from Channel 4's Comedy Lab, and also starred Mitchell and Webb.
"Daydream Believers" written by and starring, David Mitchell and Robert Webb, follows the parallel stories of flatmates techy Ray and aimless Colin, and the mighy alien empire of Baron Amstrad and his-tech android, Info. Ray (Mitchell) writes popular science-fiction stories, but if he doesn't spend at least a week writing each novel, the quality suffers. Consequently, all the pointless interruptions from his lodger, Colin (Webb), would put Ray off if he didn't find ingenious ways of incorporating their conversations into the thrilling space adventures of hard-working baron Amstrad and his constantly-interrupting robot companion, Info (also played by Michell and Webb). Supporting cast includes Mark "City Lights, Nationwide adverts" Benton and Olivia Colman from "Peep Show" and the "Mitchell & Webb Radio Series."
