³°ÛÞ Salma, a Palestinian widow - living there for decades - , has to ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ stand up against her new neighbor, the Israeli Defense Minister, ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ when he moves into his new house opposite her lemon grove, on the ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ green line border between Israel and the West Bank. The Israeli ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ security forces are quick to declare that Salma's trees pose a ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ threat to the Ministers safety and issue orders to uproot them. ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ Together with Ziad Daud, a young Palestinian lawyer, Salma goes ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ all the way to the Israeli Supreme Court to try and save her trees. ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ Her struggle raises the interest of Mira Navon, the Defense ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ ministers wife, trapped in her new home and in an unhappy life. ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ Despite their differences and the borders between them the two ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ women develop an invisible bond, while forbidden ties grow stronger ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ between Salma and Ziad. Salmas legal and personal journey lead her ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ deep into the complex,dark and sometimes funny chaos of the ongoing ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ struggle in the Middle East, in which all players find themselves ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ alone in their struggle to survive. As usual the Palestinian cause ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ is dismissed, the movie ends with the Israeli wife moving out ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ (obviously divorcing her husband), a tall concrete wall built ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ between between Salma's land and the Israeli Minister's home, ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ implying that they found an arrangement... but a final camera shot ÝÛ°³
³°ÛÞ let us see that the trees have been cut off. ÝÛ°³
